PITTSTON – Rebecca Mae Heath, 28, passed away at home with family by her side Sept. 20, 2021, after a two-year fight against cancer. She was born Oct. 25, 1992, in Augusta, Maine, the daughter of David and Pamela (McKenna) Heath. She grew up in Gardiner and lived in Pittston most of her life. She graduated from Gardiner Area High School in 2011. While in high school she attended Capital Area Technical Center’s culinary program. She then attended Stratford Career Institute where she completed a course in early childhood education and was working on one in business management. She worked at McDonalds in Gardiner since she was 16 and hoped to open her own daycare or bakery. She loved to cook/bake and enjoyed trying new recipes. She also enjoyed country music, horror movies, and spending time with family, friends and her cat, Easy. She is predeceased by her paternal grandparents (Elwin and Lizabelle Heath), her maternal grandparents (Harold and Joyce McKenna), and three uncles (Richard Crocker, Roger Austin and Denis Dandeneau). She is survived by her parents, David and Pamela Heath of Pittston. Her sister, Michele Heath and fiance Zachary Vadnais of Pittston and his two children, Sophia and Gracelyn. She is also survived by her uncle, Harold McKenna and wife Leslie of Windsor, aunt, Brenda Crocker of Winthrop, uncle, Corey McKenna of Chelsea, aunt, Charil Mairs and husband, Pete of Pittston, aunt, Dona Austin of Winslow and uncle, Stephen Heath of Pittston, as well as many cousins. A celebration of life is being planned for Oct. 24, 2021, from 1-5 p.m., at the American Legion on Rt. 17 in Augusta, Maine.
